About 12 years ago while operating a heating and air conditioning service company, We ran across a deal where we could buy surplus and salvage equipment and began advertising locally to sell this equipment, also offering installation service if needed. We began selling a lot of this equipment since it was much less expensive than new, current year model, equipment. People started contacting us wanting to purchase only the equipment and supplies stating they couldnot afford to pay for installation. Being a company that always was looking for ways to make more money we never turned down a sale and have since developed a reputation for servicing the do-it-yourself market in our local area.

Over the years our company has began getting out of the service business and moving in the direction of only supplying equipment and parts to our primary customers, people like you, who want to save a bundle of money and do the job themselves. Today the company name has changed to Discount Heating and Cooling Supply Co. Inc., in order to better reflect the nature of our business. As our name implies we are dedicated to keeping our overhead down so that, you the customer, will be able to buy quality products, like the professional use, at a very reasonable price. Whether your planning on purchasing a current model furnace or air conditioning system or one of our surplus units you will find our prices substantially lower than various retail outlets.

In comparing our quality and prices with some of the Home Center stores or other retail outlets, you may find our prices on some items like duct work and registers to be a little higher. However if you take the time to examine their products against ours, you will soon see that our products are of superior quality. These large chain stores usually contract with a company to manufacture a run of products built to these store's specifications. In order for the stores to be competive they must have the product cheapened in various ways. In flex duct for instance, the plastic is not as thick and durable, thus making the duct more difficult to work with and less durable. Regarding sheet metal duct work and registers, here again they are not always made to the same standards that are demanded by the industry professionals. Just take a moment and compare the materials and you will be convenced.
