COMPLETE SYSTEM DESIGN

It is important to design your house or room addition before you start building. It is also important to design your heating and cooling system before you start building. A lot of people think installing duct work, setting a furnace, and a/c unit is something that is done in a hap-hazard manner. Their basic premise is: if air comes out it must be working. This could not be further from the truth.

First of all we must find out the total system heat gain (during summer months) and total heat loss (during winter months) for the entire structure. This is done by measuring walls, windows, doors; determining which wall faces what direction; the amount of shade available on a particular wall; insulation in the various walls and ceiling etc. The design process is a very involved and accurate process. This determines the size of the furnace and air conditioner that will be needed for your particular structure, and allows us to choose which equipment will give you the maximum comfort with the minimum utility costs.

Designing the duct system is also important since it is the ducts that carry the conditioned air from the furnace and distributes it throughout your structure. Too many registers or too large of a duct will make a room either too hot or too cold, where too small of a duct or not enough registers will make a room not warm or cool enough. Buy taking the time to design the system properly each room should be approximately the same temperature as the next throughout your structure. It is also important to properly design your duct system to achieve maximum efficiency from your furnace and air conditioning.

If you have an existing structure and wish to add on or remodel and change room sizes it is also important to redesign your duct system and possibly change your furnace and air conditioner. You may only wish to add a few hundred square feet and don't really want to replace your existing furnace and air conditioner unit. Buy redesigning your current duct system and with some additional insulation and such, it may be possible to continue to use your existing equipment and still maintain an appropriate level of comfort and efficiency.

Taking the time and the few extra dollars to install the proper system now will save you a lot of grief, problems, and expense in the future. You can email, snail mail, fax, or phone us and we will send out a package which includes the templates and instructions on how to properly fill out the necessary information. Then you ship this back to us and we will design your entire heating and cooling system for you. Our charge for this service is $8.00 per conditioned room. A conditioned room is any room that is to be heated or cooled. Where there is a room with multiple functions, such as a kitchen/dining room or a dining room/great room etc. these would be charged as two separate rooms. Closets are not counted as conditioned space. Payment can be made either by Visa or Mastercharge, Postal Money Order, or Personal Check.

Always give your name, daytime and evening phone numbers, email and/or snail mail address, in the event that it is necessary for us to contact you regarding your plans. We also may wish to discuss some suggestions as to modification or change of material with you personally. Payment should accompany your completed templates.
